About the author
Patrick J. Colbeck has over 10 years of experience providing consulting services as a member of the Professional Services industry. In 2004, he founded Perspective Shifts, LLC, as a means to help clients improve the connection between business operations and the projects intended to improve those operations. During his career, he has provided consulting services to clients in a wide variety of industries, including Professional Services, Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, Telecommunications, Investment Banking, Pharmaceutical, and Healthcare. His breadth of experience has provided him with unique insights into what works and what doesn't work within today's business environment.
Mr. Colbeck has been certified by Microsoft as a Small Business Specialist. Among his professional accomplishments is the receipt of the Best Professional Services Automation Solution Award at the 2002 Microsoft Business Value Challenge.
His formal education includes Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is also a graduate of the International Space University in Strasbourg, France. Mr. Colbeck lives with his wife Angie and dog Rastro in Canton, Michigan.
